At least eight people including Americans on a bus were shot at by a Palestinian gunman in Jerusalem on Sunday.

According to official reports, the gunman opened fire on the people in the bus which led to several wounded, including a pregnant lady and another victim who were in serious condition.

The shooter then fled before reportedly surrendering himself to the police later. Police officers were at the scene of the crime collecting evidence as bystanders looked on.

Authorities said that the shooter was arrested before, but did not confirm his identity.

They also confirmed that he was a resident of Jerusalem who acted alone.
