Police used water cannons to disperse a right-wing demonstration in Jerusalem, Saturday, with several arrests made.
People gathered to mark the upcoming one-year anniversary of the death of 16-year-old Ahuvia Sandak, who died during a police pursuit after allegedly throwing rocks at Palestinians in the central West Bank.
“This is an omission and a crime, I brought to the parliament a proposal for an investigation committee for the case of Ahuvia. I demand from the attorney general and from the Police Internal Investigations Department to stop playing and stop lying to the public. A child was killed and someone should be punished,” said leader in Israeli right-wing Otzma Yehudit party Itamar Ben-Gvir.
Last month Knesset voted to investigate the death of the teen.
