Moshe Storch was determined to create a more powerful way for the reciting of the Sefiras Haomer prayer with the proper Kavana so he set out to compose a song for this wonderful soul cleansing prayer.
The verse of Harachamon Hu Yachzir… is soft as we remember that we don’t yet have the Bais Hamikdash in a Bakasha and then we get to the chorus where we belt out in a tefilla to Hashem talking about the what and the why of this magnificent Tefilla. The Layout of the song is meant for the listener to count the sefira each night of the Omer using this musical outline. The tefilos of Ana B’koach and Lamnatzeach can also be asserted into the space of the 2nd and 3rd chorus as a cry out to our Master and a cleansing of our soul!
At the beginning, middle and end of the day, the Oneness of Hashem always shines out strong so what better day to pick for the counting in the song than day 26 which is the Numerical value of Hashems name.
