In this second part of my return to Iran, I visited the historic city of Ishfahan — home to one of the oldest and largest Jewish communities in Iran. Spending Shabbos there was a deeply moving experience, surrounded by Yidden who continue to keep the flame of Yiddishkeit alive for generations.
On Sunday, ר”ח אלול, I joined them in tefillah and explored the city’s beauty and history — from the magnificent Chehel Sotoon Palace to the famous Naqsh-e Jahan Square, where the atmosphere and people reflect the timeless spirit of Persian culture intertwined with our Jewish past.
