,בפרשת תולדות, כשעשו חזר מן השדה אחרי שיצא לתרבות רעה באותו יום שמת אברהם ולא הרגיש בדבר,

הוא היה רעב מאוד וביקש אוכל מיעקב אבינו בלשון ”הלעיטיני נא מן האדום האדום הזה״

.הפסוק ממשיך ואומר ״על כן קרא שמו אדום״ כי זה היה המהות שלו.

אחרי כמה שנים כשיעקב עמד לפגוש את עשו, הוא היה מתיירא מאד וביקש מהקדוש ברוך הוא ״הצילני נא מיד אחי מיד עשו״

עכשיו אנחנו נמצאים בגלות שנקרא גלות אדום על שם עשו הרשע שהיה אבי אדום (רומי). והיא הגלות האחרונה והכי ארוכה וגרועה שבכולם. וכמו שיעקב התפלל וביקש מה׳ להצילו מעשו, אנחנו מתפללים ”הצילני נא מן האדום האדום הזה״

In פרשת תולדות, when עשו was coming from the field after doing the 3 worst sins, the same day that אברהם died, which didn’t affect him at all, he was very hungry and asked יעקב for food using the words “הלעיטיני נא מן האדום האדום הזה”. The פסוק continues and says ״על כן קרא שמו אדום״ – “Therefore he is called אדום״. Because that was his essence.
