At least three Palestinian protesters have died from live ammunition wounds sustained during clashes with the Israeli forces in Ramallah on Tuesday, the Health Ministry of the Palestinian Authority reported.

A 25-year-old victim was reportedly brought to hospitalised in critical conditions with a live bullet wound in the chest, but pronounced dead upon arrival. A teenager was also shot dead during the protesters.

Israeli soldiers fired live ammunition and tear gas while protesters burned tyres and launched projectiles during the large-scale protest.

At least two Israeli soldiers were injured during the confrontations, according to IDF officials.

The confrontation, which began with protests against evictions in East Jerusalem’s Sheikh Jarrah neighbourhood, escalated into an exchange of rockets and airstrikes killing 9 civilians and one soldier in Israel. In Gaza, the death toll has increased to over 200, including more than 60 children, according to the Palestinian Ministry of Health.
