In this week’s “Words of Inspiration with Reb Shea,” we see a direct link of how one person’s words of encouragement to another ended up coming back to him and saving a life.
Yocheved walks into the pharmacy all distraught. The pharmacists inquires about her well being and she confides in him that she is expecting but due to all her financial limitations she doesn’t know if she can go through with it.
The pharmacist reassures her that nobody ever regrets having a child and that Hashem will help. Comforted by his words, she feels better and decides to keep the baby. Fast forward 21 years later and once again Yocheved walks into the pharmacy all distraught and in a rush. She tells the same pharmacist that her son us receiving an award for saving someone’s life from a terrorist act and she is late. The pharmacist is shocked and reveals that his son was the one saved by Yocheved’s son. We see how powerful are our words of encouragement: sometimes they can come back and save our lives too.
