Fatal Crash on Cedar Cliff Road

A serious crash in Monroe on Motzai Shabbos ended with one person dead after a vehicle crashed and burst into flames. The crash happened at about 2:26 a.m. on Cedar Cliff Road in the Town of Monroe. According to State Police, the vehicle went off the road for an unknown reason before sustaining damage that led to a fire. The Monroe Fire Department responded and extinguished the fire. The sole occupant was trapped inside the vehicle and had to be extricated. The person was pronounced dead at the scene. State Police, Monroe Police Department, Monroe Fire Department, Monroe EMS and Kiryas Joel Hatzalah all responded to the scene.
