As the Chabad community prepares to mark the yahrzeit of the Alter Rebbe on Chof Daled Teves, Colel Chabad has released a recap of the Nafshi Concert 5785. Held at Kings Theatre in honor of Yud Tes Kislev, the concert was a high-energy, deeply moving tribute to the teachings of Chassidus.
The Alter Rebbe—founder of both Chabad Chassidus and Colel Chabad—was imprisoned by the Czarist regime for his support of Jewish life in Eretz Yisrael. His release, celebrated on Yud Tes Kislev, was a turning point in the spread of Chassidus.
The recap highlights performances from Eli Marcus, Eitan Katz, Benny Friedman, Zusha, and Alex Clare, blending traditional niggunim with new arrangements. The packed venue and strong crowd engagement made for a standout event.
Released ahead of Chof Daled Teves, this serves as a tribute to the Alter Rebbe’s influence and legacy.
