At least one person died after a rocket fired from Gaza exploded in central Ramat Gan on Saturday, on the sixth day of fighting between Hamas and the Israeli military.
Local media reported the death of a 50-year-old Israeli man who was in one of the buildings hit by the rocket.
Emergency workers and firefighters were seen attending to the area of impact and taking locals to an ambulance.
“We are at the scene of rocket fall, a direct hit between buildings, a lot of distraction here, buildings were hit, damage to cars,” Etgar Blom, commander firefighter of the Ramat Gan fire station said.
Hamas reportedly fired close to 30 rockets towards central Israel on Saturday afternoon.
