Israeli forces fired dozens of tear gas canisters at Palestinian protesters, filling the streets of Bethlehem with clouds of tear gas, on Tuesday.
Protesters had gathered in solidarity with people living in the Gaza strip, which has been battered by Israeli airstrikes over the past week.
Tensions between Israel and Palestine began to escalate over the planned eviction of Palestinian families from the Sheikh Jarrah neighbourhood. In recent days, violence including rockets fired from Gaza have killed 10 people in Israel including two children, while a campaign of Israeli airstrikes has killed over 200 Palestinians including more than 60 children.
