Israeli forces clashed with Palestinians at the al-Aqsa compound on Friday, following Friday prayers at the holy site.

According to Israeli police, shortly after the noon prayer service ended people started throwing rocks at officers patrolling the compound’s gates.

The clashes took place as hundreds of worshippers entered the compound where they held Friday prayers and celebrated the ceasefire announced between Hamas and Israel.
