The Maharal Mi’Prague, explains that Shabbos is very much connected to marriage. The Kallah and the Chosson had been working tirelessly to find each other, which resembles the six days of the week – work. But on Shabbos we rest. We rest from the work – the challenging, painful and wearisome grind of dating – and enter into Shabbos – the day of rest. A day where the mundane work ends but where the holy work of Ruchniyus and building a happy home begins. Every Chosson and Kallah deserve that day of rest – their own personal Shabbos. Enjoy it, revel in it, and grow from it! Shabbos is the day of Malchus D’Kdusha, a day where all the other Sfiros come to a culmination.
