Not all vulnerabilities are honest. Sometimes it's accountability. Sometimes it's manipulation. Real vulnerability leads to change. Performed vulnerability asks for sympathy without responsibility. The Torah warns: ״כִּי יְחַנֵּן קוֹלוֹ אַל תַּאֲמֶן בּוֹ כִּי שֶׁבַע תּוֹעֵבוֹת בְּלִבּוֹ״ When he makes his voice sound gracious, do not trust him. Don't judge people by how emotional they sound.
