Hundreds of Orthodox Jews took to the streets of Brooklyn, in New York City on Tuesday night to protest restrictions on religious services ordered by New York Governor Andrew Cuomo as the positivity rate of COVID in creases in the city.
Footage shows large crowds of mostly-unmasked men gathering at Kingston Avenue and Montgomery Street in Crown Heights, dancing on the roadway as local police were trying to get them back on the sidewalk.
On Tuesday, New York Governor Andrew Cuomo imposed tight restrictions on parts of New York City, including Williamsburg and Brooklyn, the areas with large populations of Orthodox Jews, where the number of new coronavirus cases has risen in recent weeks.
