A few devoted individuals established the Lecheiris organization two years ago, in the few years of its existence they were able to enlighten the crying hearts of the so many broken families for whose lives have turned upside down with their loved ones at the hospitals and in the prisons.
Lecheiris took upon themselves to send out on daily basis caravans of dedicated volunteers traveling for hours and hundreds of miles to hospitals and prisons throughout New York to spread some light in the darkness our brothers and sisters dwell in.
So many parents miss their children whose lives were changed from one minute to the next, they do not know if their lives will ever be the same, so many are waiting for diagnosis not knowing if they will ever go back home to their precious children.
Lecheiris made sure they should never feel alone, we tell them: You are never alone, and this isn’t just a slogan it is a fact!
We at Lecheiris will not just spread happiness through music and entertainment, but we actually send every week delicious kosher food, whenever, wherever, to those suffering in pain at the hospitals and prisons.
Lecheiris took upon themselves to make sure those families can visit their loved one whether it is in a prison hundreds of miles away, or closer to home. They arrange transportation for the families several times a week free of charge.
Lecheiris become part of the family; every Yid has a special place in the hearts of our dedicated volunteers who sacrifice their lives, dedicating their days and nights for those in need.
Lecheiris operates with the help of 250-trained volunteers who know that sensitivity and intellect is the foundation of the organizations.
Every Shabbos when you sit at the beautifully decorated Shabbos table enjoying quality time with your healthy children, our volunteers sit next to the hospital beds throughout New York comforting and caring for the patients and their families.
Lecheiris means “freedom” and that is exactly our focus: to liberate our brothers and sisters from their pain and grief. At Lecheiris we never accept no for an answer. We often receive phone calls from people asking to help a family member struggling with mental disabilities, and we are there for them, we at Lecheiris have built great relationships with known medical experts and referral organizations so we can provide the right help in the right time by the right people בס”ד.
We are in constant contact with many prominent Rabbonim across the Jewish spectrum who threw their support and blessing for Lecheiris.
