VIN News – New York NY – For thousands of years Jews around the world have gathered together at midnight preceding Rosh Hashona to Daven and cry to Hashem to open the gates of heaven. Traditionally, it is one of the most meaningful prayers of the year with men, women and children coming to shul in the midnight hour to stand together in tefila.
Last night, at Park East, under the direction of Rabbi Arthur Schnier, Chief Cantor Yitzchok Helfgot and choir over a thousand people gathered together following in this age old custom. Words cannot describe the beauty and impact of heartfelt tefilot.
“What a great way to start the Yamim Noraim, bringing yidden together from all walks of life. Between Chassidim Yeshiva, Bochrum, Young Isreal and even non frum people, all united in tefila let us hope that these tefilot storm the gates of heaven” said Cantor Benny Rogosnitzky Chazan at Park East Synagogue.
