Before You all hidden things are revealed — the countless secrets since the beginning of creation. For there is no forgetting before the Throne of Your Glory, and nothing is hidden from Your eyes. You remember every deed, and not one creature is concealed from You. All is revealed and known before You, Hashem our G-d, Who watches and sees to the end of all generations. When You bring the appointed day of remembrance, every spirit and soul is recalled — countless deeds, endless multitudes of creatures. From the very beginning You made this known; from of old You revealed it. This day is the beginning of Your works — a remembrance of the very first day. For it is a statute for Israel, a day of judgment of the G-d of Yaakov. And of the nations it is decreed this day: which to the sword and which to peace, which to famine and which to plenty. And every creature is recalled on this day, to be remembered for life or for death. Who is not recalled on this day? The remembrance of every creature comes before You. Each man's deeds and his calling, the steps of his path — his thoughts, his designs, and the impulses behind all he does. Fortunate is the one who never forgets You — the person who holds strong to You. For those who seek You will never stumble, and all who shelter in You will never be shamed. The remembrance of every deed comes before You, and You examine the doings of them all. And Noach, too, You remembered with love; You recalled him with a word of salvation and mercy. When You brought the waters of the Flood, to destroy all flesh because of the evil of their deeds. So his remembrance came before You, Hashem our G-d — to multiply his children like the dust of the earth, his descendants like the sand of the sea. And G-d remembered Noach, and every living thing, and all the animals with him in the ark; and G-d made a wind pass over the earth, and the waters subsided. And G-d heard their groaning, and G-d remembered His covenant with Avraham, with Yitzchak, and with Yaakov. Then I will remember My covenant with Yaakov, and also My covenant with Yitzchak, and also My covenant with Avraham I will remember — and the Land I will remember. He has made a memorial for His wonders; gracious and full of compassion is Hashem. He gives sustenance to those who fear Him; He remembers His covenant forever. And He remembered His covenant for them, and relented in His abundant kindness. Go and call out in the ears of Yerushalayim: So says Hashem — I remember for you the devotion of your youth, the love of your bridal days; how you followed Me into the wilderness, into a land unsown. And I will remember My covenant with you from the days of your youth, and I will establish for you an everlasting covenant. Is Ephraim not My precious son, My delightful child? Whenever I speak of him, I remember him ever more; therefore My heart yearns for him — I will surely have mercy on him, says Hashem. Our G-d and G-d of our fathers — remember us with a good remembrance before You. And recall us with a decree of salvation and mercy, from the most ancient heavens. Remember for us, Hashem our G-d, the covenant, the kindness, and the oath You swore to Avraham our father on Har HaMoriah. And may the Akeidah appear before You — how Avraham our father bound Yitzchak his son upon the mizbeach. He held back his compassion to do Your will with a whole heart — so may Your compassion hold back Your anger from us. And in Your great goodness, may Your fierce anger turn away from Your people, from Your city, from Your land, and from Your inheritance. Fulfill for us, Hashem our G-d, the word You promised in Your Torah through Moshe Your servant: I will remember for them the covenant of the first ones, whom I brought out of Mitzrayim before the eyes of the nations, to be their G-d — I am Hashem. For You are the One Who remembers all that is forgotten, from eternity; there is no forgetting before the Throne of Your Glory. And the Akeidah of Yitzchak — remember it today, with mercy, for the children of Yaakov. Blessed are You, Hashem, Who remembers the covenant.
